Message	You said that you have almost an inch of clearance. Since your new rims are one inch less in diameter, it should only decrease the clearance by a half inch. Unless these new ones are SO much thicker than your old ones that they take up all the slack. But I can't imagine a wheel being that thick. This isn't what you were asking, is it? :-)
